The Egyptian-German Cultural Center ÄDK Celebrates 25th Anniversary
On Monday, September 25, 2023, the Egyptian-German Cultural Center (ÄDK) held a grand celebration marking its 25th anniversary at the Egyptian Diplomatic Club in downtown Cairo.
The celebration was attended by a large number of Egyptian, Arab, and international figures, including ministers, university professors, deans, and heads of academic departments from Egyptian universities:
- His Excellency Prof. Dr. Said Abdel Khalek (Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research)
- Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty (Former Minister of Antiquities)
Representatives from the German Embassy included:
- The Scientific Counselor and Cultural Counselor at the Embassy
- Mrs. Katharina Pfeiffer
Along with experts and professors from the Goethe Institute in Cairo:
- Prof. Dr. Said El-Shahed (Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria)
- Prof. Dr. Dalia Salama (Head of the German Language Department at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University)
- The former Egyptian Cultural Counselor in Berlin, Germany
- Prof. Dr. Huda Darwish (Former Dean of the Faculty of Asian Studies, Zagazig University)
- Dr. Mohamed Tharwat (Professor and Head of the Religious Studies Department and Prominent Journalist)
- Parliamentary Writer Adel Akel
- Dr. Farhat Ghanem (Representative of the International Lyon Academy)
Additionally, representatives from major Egyptian companies in the field of educational software production and global publishing houses were present. The event was also attended by the large team of teachers, directors, and staff of the Egyptian-German Cultural Center (ÄDK).
